Dan Wendlandt

Dan Wendlandt has been a leader in open source networking and security since helping start the Open vSwitch (OVS) project while at Nicira.  OVS became the most popular software-defined networking platform for Linux and as part of that work, Dan created and was the technical lead for the OpenStack Networking project (now called OpenStack Neutron).  Dan now focuses his energy on Cilium (http://www.cilium.io). Cilium using a powerful new Linux kernel technology called eBPF to bring service and API-aware network security (e.g., HTTP, gRPC, Kafka) to Linux-based container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and Mesos.
